According to local police, Ryanair flight 3225 was evacuated at Moss Airport in Rygg which was flying from Norway to Manchester.
Witnesses have said two “foreign nationals” were seen arguing near a toilet and the word “bomb” was heard which lead to the following security measures. The security incident took place at Moss Rygge Airport in Østfold, southeastern Norway and which was due to land at 6.55pm, was delayed for an hour following the security scare.
The plane was searched but no device was found and passengers were allowed back on the plane.
The two passengers are currently taken into custody by police. One of the arrested pair is reported to be from the UK and the other from Sierra Leone.
Customers disembarked the aircraft and were provided with refreshment vouchers.
Ryanair had sincerely apologised for any inconvenience caused by this hoax.
On a similar note, Manchester United’s final Barclays Premier League game of the season was abandoned from at Old Trafford after 75,000 fans were evacuated following a bomb hoax. It was later revealed that he item which sparked the mass evacuation “was a training device which had accidentally been left by a private company following a training exercise involving explosive search dogs”.
