With rising number of tourists and hotel development, Marrakech of Morocco is all set to contend other tourist destinations in the world. As per the report published by Morocco’s Tourism Observatory, the initial months of 2016 witnessed more than 8 million tourists in Marrakech. To support this growing trend, 52 new hotels are to be built by 2020 with 22 to be completed this year to attract 20 million visitors in the coming years.
To quote Paul Branford, Managing Director of Paramount Immobillier, “We have seen rising demand for both vacation villas from tourists. Marrakech is just a few hours from most European cities and is rapidly becoming the preferred destination for those seeking guaranteed sunshine, amazing night life, culture, history, diversity and amazing contrasts. Once tourists have experienced everything the country offers, they want to return again, with many considering options to buy real estate here. The most demand from within Morocco is from Casablanca and Rabat, with the French, Middle East and British buyers leading international demand.” Russian and Chinese visitors were the highest number of travelers visiting this place. Along with Marrakech, Agadir is also witnessing huge number of tourist inflow with 2 and 3% increase in overnight stay, respectively.
