The project, worth $200 million is a mixed-used one that would comprise 200 hotel rooms at the five-star international hotel and 110 apartments close to Harbour Town. Moreover, at the rooftop, a public infinity pool overlooking the CBD would be constructed.
And, the residential apartments would be sharing the services of the hotel.
Mohan Du, the managing director of Capital Alliance said that the development would be providing a pleasurable experience for the residents as well as tourists. He said that this would be delivering the first contemporary Marriott to Melbourne and its infinity pool on the rooftop would be giving the city a special experience it never ever witnessed before, almost bearing a resemblance to the lounges and pool bars of New York City.
Mr. Du feels that Marriott is one of the largest hospitality chains across the world and there the opportunity is a great news for Docklands and Melbourne.
He also added that they are excited to get started and offer on their original vision of the plan. He thinks that the hotel project of Marriott would be a very special add-on to the tourism potential of the city.
The construction of Marriott Hotel would be commencing in mid 2018.
