This distribution cooperation agreement was signed a day after the tourism fair Arabian Travel Market 2018 ended in Dubai.
It will allow Marriott International to have access to the “wide-reaching networks in Saudi Arabia” through the Kingdom’s Al Tayyar Travel Group.
According to director of global sales at Marriott International Sohail Pedari, Marriott, which runs nine hotels in Saudi Arabia, is optimistic about tourism in the kingdom.
Earlier this month, the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage, headed by King Salman’s oldest son Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, announced that the kingdom would issue individual tourism visas for the first time.
