Marriott recognized long ago that providing opportunities to create a diverse and inclusive environment strengthens our company’s culture and provides a competitive advantage. Marriott was the first hospitality company to establish a formal diversity and inclusion program more than 25 years ago. In addition, the company created the Women’s Leadership Development initiative nearly 20 years ago to develop female leaders across the company. It’s part of our TakeCare culture, and the company’s multifaceted approach to diversity and inclusion enables us to attract and retain Latinas. Ensuring that our associates feel valued for who they are, and celebrating their unique qualities and contributions has made Marriott a place where everyone can thrive. Today, Marriott has one of the most diverse workforces in corporate America.
As a champion for diversity and inclusion, Marriott’s recognitions include LATINA Style Company of the Year, NAFE Top 10 Companies for Executive Women, DiversityInc Top 50 Companies, and 100 percent score on Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index.
