Starting from 12 September, the travel experience incubator is a 12-week programme and till date has received 165 applicants. Six will be shortlisted to take part in an ideas competition.
Stephanie Linnartz, global chief commercial officer at Marriott International, mentioned that this will help them in learning the basics of entrepreneurship. They are looking forward to opportunities related to innovations into their hotels as proof-of-concepts.
The mutually beneficial experience will lead to guiding and mentoring on the customer insights, business model and operations.
The judges will be looking for ideas and people who can positively impact the travel experience for holidaymakers by developing and testing digital hospitality data and technology.
Marriot recently collaborated with ecommerce giant Alibaba which is looking forward to improve the holiday experiences of Chinese tourists.
