Mauritius- Australia to ink bilateral air services agreement

Air plane AirportIn order to boost bilateral relations between the two countries, the Government of Mauritius and the Government of Australia will sign a Bilateral Air Services Agreement on 4 February 2016.

 
The Agreement will be signed by the Secretary to Cabinet and Head of the Civil Service, S. Seebaluck.

 
The Agreement provides, inter alia, for multiple designations of airlines and designated airlines of each country being entitled to operate up to seven weekly frequencies on the Mauritius/Australia route to/from Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.

 
It also makes provision for the fifth freedom traffic rights for the designated airlines of both countries at certain points.
