MAX 8 Update from Southwest Airlines

Southwest is accommodating previous MAX 8 flights and Customers on our fleet of 737-700s and 737-800s. Southwest only operated 34 MAX 8 aircraft within our fleet of more than 750 Boeing 737s. As a result, over 95% of our total fleet is unaffected and fully operational to serve our Customers. The MAX 8 represented approximately 4% of our more than 4,000 daily flights.

If any Customer experiences a cancelled flight as a result of the MAX 8 grounding, we are offering flexible rebooking arrangements without fees.
