London’s new Mayor Sadiq Khan is already coming up with good surprises for visitors. The mayor is planning to introduce a one-hour “Hopper” bus ticket which will allow passengers two journeys within a 60-minute window from September.
This is great news for Londoners and visitors alike as travel will surely be more convenient in London now.
This is great boost for daily commuters while going for work. The cost of single £1.50 fare would help them to avail multiple buses while going out to work. The south London which is heavily dependent on bus travel welcomes the move.
The unlimited bus transfers within an hour is quite a winner and London travellers can now depend on cheap comfortable transport making the best with an hour.
The transport body’s ticketing technology will be upgraded next year so unlimited journeys within an hour should be a reality by the end of 2018, and perhaps even sooner. This will be the most ensured form of affordable travel in and around the city.
London commuters are heavily dependent on bus journeys. There are an estimated 2.5 billion bus journeys made in the capital in 2015. Pay-as-you-go journeys were 600 million.
