Venu Rajamony, the ambassador of India to Netherlands and Jan van Zanen, the Mayor of Utrecht on January 9th arranged the ‘Incredible India’ along with Kerala Tourism stalls at the Vakantiebeurs, the largest tourism event in the country.
The prime tourist attractions of India through Virtual Reality were first viewed by the mayor, a new initiative adopted by the Embassy of India in partnership with India Tourism.
Side by side, visitors also received a chance to take pictures of themselves with famous monuments like Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar etc. as well as wildlife and natural landscapes, as a special attraction.
The mayor and Ambassador Rajamony inaugurated the stalls and lighting traditional Indian lamps. Also Indian refreshments were served to approximately 500 visitors all through the day.
Every year, Vakantiebeurs is hosted in the city of Utrecht, at the heart of the Netherlands and lures large number of visitors. There has been a constant growth in the number of tourists from the Netherlands to India with around 21000 electronic visa issued in 2017.
