Royal CaribbeanA 2,000-passenger cruise vessel suddenly suffered a mechanical breakdown and therefore it was compelled to make a stopover for repairs at Port Canaveral.

Passengers on board the Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas are struck, absolutely motionless in Port Canaveral.

This cruise vessel was heading from the Bahamas to its home port in Baltimore.

At this point of time, a breakdown suddenly led to the unscheduled stop. But Royal Caribbean is yet to identify the exact cause of the breakdown of the cruise ship. In a statement it has however mentioned that currently the cruise ship is safe to be operated and following safety, it plans to make a stop at Port Canaveral.

In the year 2013 a major fire had occurred on this very same cruise vessel. And as a result the entre rear area of the ship was charred.

The ship was built in 1996 and renovated in 2012, the year before the fire.

Passengers would now be arriving home two days late.

The cruise line is hopeful about having the cruise ship back underway tonight.
