A spokesperson of the eastern Iwowa airport Pam Hinman told a news media agency that the airplane was compelled to make a diversion on account of a medical diversion.
The tower in Cedar Rapids was immediately notified as to what was actually happening around 9.30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
Thereafter, finally the plane was able to make a perfectly safe landing.
Southwest Airlines does not normally operate in the Eastern Iowa airport.
