The 2nd Dubai Health Regulation and Medical Tourism conference opened at the InterContinental Hotel, Dubai on 4 & 5 October 2016 and it will be hosted by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). Various professionals connected with medical tourism will attend this conference to discover Dubai’s opportunities and potential as medical tourism hub and spread its value globally. The conference will be attended by important dignitaries of DHA and Dubai’s Health Regulation Department and Medical Tourism Office.
This conference will help medical professionals, students, practitioners, administrators, managers and travel partners, where they will learn about the newest improvements and trends in medical tourism and globalization of the healthcare industry and how to enhance medical tourism experience for visiting tourists. DHA is implementing a patient protection plan for ensuring patient-centric strategies and programmes. Tourists coming for medical treatment to the Emirates should know their rights and lodge a medical grievance if required. They can also avail of insurance coverage through third-party operators.
This conference will, no doubt, fortify Dubai’s image as international medical tourism hotspot. It will be a platform for everyone with interest in medical tourism industry and a great initiative towards Dubai’s goal of attracting 500,000 medical tourists by 2020.
