Lately, Mehbooba Mufti, the present Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir expressed that she has told her government to start endorsing Kargil as a distinct package and attraction for the tourism market.
After laying the foundation of two road projects, the CM attended a public meeting and explained that Mother Nature has presented Kargil with striking features that needs to be made public as a separate destination and package. She highlighted that the area has tallest Buddhist icons in the world which at linked the Bhuddist tourist circuit at one point of time. Eventually, this would help to grow the visitor number by great measure.
Side by side, the Chief Minister also mentioned that the villages like Bimbut, Hundurman and other places have the potential to be endorsed under Border tourism. Besides, the Kargil war memorial has the power to lure large number of visitors. River rafting and polo have been added and promoted as an attraction.
Yesterday, the Chief Minister evaluated the opening of Kargil and Zanaskar Tourism Development Authorities and requested to look for expert guidance for endorsing the tourism possibility in these sections of the state. In addition, she asked all travel agents, bloggers, writers etc. for the purpose.
The Chief Minister declared the upgradation of a school in response to the local demands local demands. Side by side, she announced considering the possibility of introducing a nursing school in the area.
