Meliá Hotels International reaches out to the Indian market

Mr Ruben Casas, Senior Director Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific-Melia Hotels InternationalMeliá Hotels International, one of the largest hotel chains worldwide with more than 370 hotels in 40 countries, has appointed Outbound Marketing, as its overseas representative office in India, effective from January 2016. As part of its development strategy in Asia, the group aims to strength its presence in the Indian market for overseas destinations.



Established in February 2002, headquartered in New Delhi, Outbound Marketing is extensively well-connected at the highest levels with the principle travel agencies, travel agents associations, tour operators and airlines.  The Outbound Marketing team in India has extensive experience in the travel industry, in the areas of sales, marketing strategy and communications, public relations, media handling, event management and online distribution.



“Outbound Marketing is well positioned to represent Melia Hotels International in India with the team’s understanding of the Indian market, key relationships and their proven ability to drive revenue. Mr Ruben Casas, Senior Director Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific further added  that “India is a strategic area of growth for us, particularly as we expand our presence in key overseas destinations like Shanghai, Rio de Janeiro, New York or Miami to mention just a few. We are sure that we have the right associate to assist us in increasing our brand awareness and achieving our goals of growing market share from India” he added. Outbound Marketing will be responsible for driving sales and managing PR & marketing activities to develop the brand awareness of the group seven brands.
