Messe Frankfurt has announced to launch a new trade fair with accompanying congresses on the subjects of digitalisation, ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems) and intermodal systems, in cooperation with leading German transport and mobility associations in Frankfurt am Main from 20 to 22 November 2017.
Named ‘Hypermotion’, Messe Frankfurt aims to close a gap in the national and international trade-fair market and create the first independent platform with digital transformation in the mobility and transport sector as the superordinate theme.
The partners and supporters of the new event are the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, the State of Hesse, represented by the Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Regional Development of the State of Hesse, the German Society for Intelligent Transport and Mobility Systems, the Association of German Transport Companies, the German Association of Transport Sciences, and the German Mobility and Transport Forum.
Detlef Braun, Member of the Executive Board of Messe Frankfurt, says, “Hypermotion revolves around the irreversible process of digital transformation in the mobility, logistics, infrastructure, transport and traffic fields. Thanks to its location in the heart of Europe and its exemplary road, rail and air infrastructure, Frankfurt is the ideal venue for an event of this kind.”
Mathias Samson, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics, Energy, Transport and Regional Development of the State of Hesse, adds, “Sustainable Mobility is a mega-subject for our state and we are delighted that Messe Frankfurt has taken the initiative in this respect. Hypermotion perfectly complements our initiatives for future-oriented and sustainable mobility.”
Hans-Joachim Schade, the new Chairman of the Board of Management of ITS Germany, adds: “With Hypermotion, we are creating an innovative platform for marketing German ideas and the German lead market for tomorrow’s ITS technologies – for Logistics & Mobility 4.0.”
Messe Frankfurt is one of the world’s leading trade fair organisers, generating around €648 million in sales and employing 2,244 people.
