On 7th and 9th November in London, Mindanao will be one of the major attractions and participants in the World Trade Market or the WTM at the ExCel events. Officials of the Tourism Promotions Board which is also known as TPB is planning to introduce this picturesque group of island through an eye-catching fashion show! As per the statement released by the officials, ‘the show will intricately look into the rich canvas of Mindanao culture, as featured in its weaves, ethnic tribes and beautiful vistas with a fusion of music, video, dance and neo-ethnic fashion’.
Tourism Secretary Wanda Corazon T. Teo will be heading the Philippine delegation along with marketing officials of DOT or the Department of Tourism, agents of TPB as well as various hotel and resort executive and tour operators. 25 stakeholders from the tourism industry including Viva Ilocos Travel & Hospitality Services Inc. and Amorita Resort are going to participate at the event.
Philippines Pavilion will showcase country’s best features, world-class facilities and top natural attractions at the event. This opportunity would be a business-to-business platform which will eventually create bonding with European nations and other significant tourism and travel markets of the world that would bring new prospective tourism opportunity for Philippines.
WTM is one of the best opportunities to make new contacts and seal the deal. This year is going to be the 36th year for WTM generating more than £ 2.2 billion travel contracts.
