A miniature railway train has derailed in Pembrey Country Park in the region of Carmathenshire just after noon yesterday after the small train got off the lines. The incident injured over 12 children and adults too.
Immediately, the emergency services rushed to the scene.
A spokesperson, Welsh Ambulance Service stated that they had been summoned at about 12.30 p.m. with reports that a miniature train had fallen out of its tracks at Carmarthenshire’s Pembrey Country Park.
Members of the Transfer Service, Emergency Medical Retrieval, four rapid response vehicles and three emergency ambulances attended the scene.
Three children and an adult were rushed to Glangwili General Hospital. They had injuries that were not at all serious.
Apart from them, nine children and four adults were being treated at the scene of the incident. However, they were not in a need of hospital treatment.
The Mid and West Wales Fire Service had also attended the scene.
A spokesperson of the fire service said that a mini locomotive and its carriageways had overturned and derailed that was responsible for injuring the children as well as the adults.
The Dyfed-Powys Police who had also attended the spot of the incident said that investigations would be conducted by the Health and Safety Executive.
