Bethanie Mickles recently triumphed in the North Carolina leg of the Ms. Tourism competition. Prior to this, she had won for Wake County in December 2016. To quote Mickles, ‘’ the pageant promotes charity and tourism. I do a lot of traveling so it seemed like a perfect fit for me.’’
She attended her law school at North Carolina Central while graduated summa cum laude. After completing her graduation, she discontinued her stay at the Cary and Triangle. To quote the winner, ‘’ There is a lot of diversity here so you can have a slice of the world in one big city but then you can drive a few miles and find a small town where everyone knows everyone else. So it’s the best of both worlds’’.
The region has many event going on and this particular characteristic is liked my Mickles as portrayed in her performance and question and answer session in Ms. Tourism North Carolina competition. She said ‘’ every weekend there is some kind of festival or big, fun thing to do. I have never been bored here and that is very different from my home town.” She also admitted that the weather of this place played a positive role behind her wining the competition.
