Mission Hills China announces the opening of Mission Hills Centreville Haikou on February 1, 2016. The low-carbon-footprint urban complex covers a vast area of 240,000-square-meters with RMB 10 billion (USD 1.6 billion) investments, incorporating hotels, offices, park, shopping, culture and art, set to become the trendiest lifestyle destination in Hainan!
The complex is strategically divided into four zones – Lan Kwai Fong Entertainment Zone, Quarry Lake, Fashion Avenue and China Grove – each with distinctive characteristics offering a variety of retail, dining, entertainment and lifestyle options to satisfy the most discerning international and domestic visitors.
“We envision Mission Hills Centreville Haikou to be a bustling lifestyle hub in the city, offering an abundance of leisure activities and entertainment options to local residents and travelers from all corners of the world,” said Dr. Ken Chu, Chairman and CEO of Mission Hills Group. “The opening of this development marks an important milestone towards making Haikou a world-class tropical destination and putting the fast-growing city on the world map.”
Lan Kwai Fong Entertainment Zone is a collaboration with the icon of Hong Kong nightlife, boasting world-class restaurants, trendy nightclubs, entertainment hotspots, and the city’s most stylish bars “Birdcage Restaurant & Wine” and “California Restaurant Bar” by Dr. Allan Zeman. The Birdcage is the first-ever Polynesian-style Tiki Cocktail Lounge opened by Lan Kwai Fong Entertainments in Haikou. The California is going to transport customers back in time to experience the old American culture back in 1950s. Having worked closely with Lan Kwai Fong Entertainments for eight years, the former Executive Chef Davide Campana will be helming ‘California’. With his vast experience and culinary creativity, Davide has designed a special Hainanese menu with a Hong Kong twist.
“Father of Lan Kwai Fong” Dr. Allan Zeman said: “Mission Hills Centreville Haikou and the Lan Kwai Fong Entertainment Zone will be a big success given its diverse trade-mix and entertainment activities. Haikou is a beautiful place with fresh and clean air and I believe this unique tourist destination will attract tens of thousands of visitors from around the world every year. The new F&B concepts ‘California’ and ‘Birdcage’ created by Lan Kwai Fong Entertainments are also not-to-be-missed!”
The RMB 10 million (USD 1.6 million) investments Quarry Lake is a symbolic feature of Mission Hills Centreville designed by UTOPIA ENTERTAINMENT, INC. from United States. A leisure park by day and a performing venue by night, a key highlight is the spectacular multi-sensory water fountain show with perfectly-orchestrated interwoven water, fire and music to resemble breath-taking scenes and powerful force of a volcanic eruption.
Taking center stage at Fashion Avenue is HNDF & MH International Shopping Center, Hainan. A strategic collaboration with Hainan Provincial Duty Free Company, Limited and the world’s largest luxury travel retailer DFS Group, the massive 46,800 square-meter retail space features a collection of international fashion labels and luxury brands, offering visitors quality shopping experience and exceptional customer service.
The family-friendly entertainment hub China Grove is where a Cineplex large-screen theatre equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a variety of multi-media entertainment facilities, including Hainan Island’s first teddy bear museum will be housed.
Following the launch of Mission Hills Centreville Haikou is the opening of Wet’n’Wild Haikou water park in October 2016. The 50,000 square-meter indoor and outdoor water park is a partnership with Australia-based leading theme park owner and operator Village Roadshow Limited. Three international five star hotels including The Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance Hotel and Hard Rock Hotel are also slated to open by 2016.
The USD 1.6 billion Mission Hills Centreville Haikou is situated on the premises of Mission Hills Haikou, a world-class resort destination built amidst the grandeur of the island’s tropical volcanic landscape. It is complete with 10 championship golf courses, five-star accommodation, world’s largest volcanic mineral springs and spa, and China’s first movie town. Mission Hills Haikou is conveniently located 15 minutes from Haikou Meilan International Airport and 20 minutes from the city center.
