The state tourism department is planning to introduce a brand new mobile app that would track the movement of tourists and also vehicles with an aim to make travelling more convenient for those travellers.
Officials have asserted that thanks to this travel technology, no unregistered vehicle would be capable of going beyond Rishikesh for the four holy sites on the Char Dham route that are Gangotri, Yamunotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath.
The tourism secretary Dileep Jawalkar mentioned that a private agency Bridkul recently had offered a presentation about the proposed app that can be utilized in android devices.
And it is about to be implemented for the tourists to the destinations of the Char Dham.
Also, a new registration centre would be established for the tourists to these sacred sites. And a new registration centre for tourists would also be set up in Rishikesh. Manoj Semwal who is the managing director of Bridkul mentioned that this app would be making it possible for officials to regulate the flow of unregistered vehicles and also keep a track on the number of tourists visiting the four destinations.
Moreover this app would also offer information about parking arrangements, traffic flow, road blockade and weather forecast.
Furthermore tourists would be able to plan their travel beforehand thanks to this app.
Rescue operations and medical aid can also be arranged and initiated faster.
