In an interview to the regional news media agency, Zouiten said that India is known to possess a large middle class amounting to 300 million that can be beautifully tapped by the tourism sector of Morocco.

During his India visit the ONMT had obtained Indian permission to open a local office in New Delhi in early 2018.

He asserted that the opening of the second regional office in Asia following Beijing reflects the special relations between Morocco and India.

He mentioned that the Morocco-Indian ties have become stronger particularly after the visit of King Mohammed VI to New Delhi in October 2015 for the India-Africa Forum Summit. He said that the Kingdom, via a new office in India would be able to place itself favorably in the tourism market.
