At the 37th edition of the International Tourism Fair in Madrid, which is known as FITUR 2017, the diversity and richness of the Moroccan tourism has been displayed. The fair was inaugurated yesterday with participation from exhibitors, professionals and tourism experts from across the world.
The stall of Morocco spans over an area of 312 m2, offering a wide panorama of tourist attractions of Morocco along with its cultural and natural richness and also the quality of its tourism and leisure infrastructure. Mohamed Sofi, director of Morocco’s tourism office (ONMT) in Spain stressed on the importance of Morocco’s participation in this fair for promoting its national tourism product and highlighting its variety. In this fair, Morocco will hold several B2B meetings with tour operators, airlines and professionals for reinforcing links with international partners and new markets. Mr. Sofia also said that Morocco is among the most favorite destinations of the Spaniards. It had 2% increases in visitor arrivals in 2016 despite a tough international state of affairs.
