This year’s celebration is for increasing awareness among public decision-makers for making tourism a catalyst for positive change. The celebration is part of the 2030 Sustainable Development Program. This second edition brought together more than 300 national and international guests, including several members of the government, African ministerial delegations, international organizations, tourism professionals and members of civil society.
Morocco’s Ministry of Tourism is all set to mobilize all stakeholders for implementing an awareness-raising program for promoting sustainable tourism and for undertaking various actions and initiatives for making it a force for national development in order to make Morocco a chosen destination for responsible and sustainable tourism.
Morocco is planning a program dedicated to the celebration of the IY2017 at the African scale in the form of a caravan, for promoting the African Charter of Sustainable Tourism in addition to the best practices of sustainable tourism in Africa.
