Mossel Bay Tourism has welcomed the announcements of both a new conference facility at Pinnacle Point Beach & Golf Estate, and the commencement date for the multi-stage redevelopment of the shopping and entertainment precinct at the ATKV-Hartenbos Resort.
“These are extremely exciting developments because they’ll strengthen Mossel Bay’s position as an outstanding destination for small- and medium-size conferences and events,” said Mossel Bay Tourism’s Marcia Holm.
She said that the town benefits from being situated exactly half way between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth (each 400 km away by road), and just 40 km from the domestic airport at George.
Carl van der Linde, general manager of the Pinnacle Point Homeowners Association, announced their new development at a recent media briefing at the Pinnacle Point Golf Clubhouse.
He said that the project – an extension of the clubhouse – has been designed by Arté Architects and Construction and will include a functions venue with conference facilities for up to 80 people, a wellness centre, a heated indoor swimming pool, a beauty salon, a kiddies’ entertainment centre, and a golf cart-barn.
“Work will begin on the multi-million rand development in August this year, and we’re looking forward to completion by September 2015,” he said.
