Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts has unveiled details of its first ever property in Indonesia. It is scheduled to open on 12th January, 2017. It is located adjacent to Samasta Village, a new shopping and cultural complex that features cafes, restaurants, retail outlets and performance areas.
The new hotel offers 297 rooms and suites, all featuring private balconies and free Wi-Fi. The resort also features 2,900m² of water-based activities, including a free-form swimming pool, an artificial beach area and a lap pool, along with a kids’ club and teen club with its own pool area.
The resort’s spa will open in March 2017, and guests also have use of a 24-hour fitness centre.
In terms of F&B, the resort will feature a Mövenpick Cafe for coffee, chocolate and ice cream, a pool bar, lobby lounge and Above Eleven Bali (opening in February 2017), a rooftop venue serving Peruvian-Japanese cuisine.
The opening of Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali forms part of the Swiss hotel group’s plans to operate 30 hotels across Southeast Asia by 2020. The company’s senior vice president for Asia, Andrew Langdon, said that Indonesia is “a country central to our expansion plans”.
