Right after smoke was detected by the Air Traffic Control (ATC) from under the carriage of the plane; all the 120 passengers were evacuated in 90seconds. All passengers and six crew members have been reported to be safe. The secondary runway, on which the plane landed around 7.20 in the morning, was sealed in the morning for security concern.
The chief of flight security at Air India, Harpreet A De Singh said, “The pilot checked the controls and found everything normal.
