The Far East Travel & Education Show 2017 was held on Sept. 26, 2017, at the Grande Hotel Prestige in Khabarovsk, where around 50 travel trade and media representatives were in attendance.
During these B2B meetings, guests asked questions about tourism infrastructure in the Marianas, explored joint advertising opportunities, and received promotional material on the destination.
The acting MVA managing director Judy Torres said, “Russia remains an important source market for the Marianas, as Russian visitors typically stay longer and spend more than other markets. FETES 2017 was one of a number of activities the MVA is undertaking to keep the Mariana fresh in the minds of Russians, especially as winter descends.
Convenient connections to the Marianas through Seoul via Jeju Air have recently begun, and we are optimistic about incremental increases in arrivals from Russia.”
Presentations on the Marianas were also made for a larger audience, with focus on hotel development, future promotional and advertising activities, and other destination updates. Travel agents also provided their feedback to the MVA.
