Namibia is one of the charming tourist hotspots in the world. Like other foreigners, Anouk Den Otter took the initiation and traversed the southern African country to get amazed at the spectacular natural beauty of this place.
In the midst of the winter of the southern hemisphere, Den Otter along with her husband challenged the intense cold and canoed through a seal reserve to observe their honeymoon together. To quote Anouk, the 29-year-old Dutch woman as she came out of their boat in Walvis Bay, a port town located on the west coast of the country, “It’s really nice so far. The people are very nice and the nature is very good.”
Den works in Amsterdam in a hotel explains that she it was an opportunity for her to travel across southern Africa while seeking travel inspiration.
“We wanted to go somewhere with no rain in June. I checked on the internet the best places to go, and Namibia was among them,” she said. “It has got a combination of everything — the sea, the cities, the desert, game.”
Also, Hollywood star Angelina Jolie’s publicity made this land of unique attractions appear on Den Otter’s planning radar. The “Beyond Borders”, a 2003 blockbuster was filmed in Namibia and then again returning in 2006 to give birth to daughter Shiloh.
This prestigious searchlight made Namibia an outsider favorite for travel agents worldwide.
