National Railway Museum in York appoints Catherine Smith as Events Operations Executive

National Railway Museum in York welcomes welcoming Catherine Smith as its new Events Operations Executive. Catherine is bringing a wealth of hospitality experience from varied industry roles within the luxury hotel market, before aspirations to work in a world-class, unique venue drew Catherine to the museum.

As Events Operations Executive, Catherine Smith will play an integral role in the museum’s packed diary of event bookings, overseeing the deft transformation of the museum galleries from public spaces to stunning venues for events spanning awards, dinners, drinks receptions and weddings.

She will also be responsible for assisting with the museum’s new Christmas package for 2019, welcoming 14-piece band Kudos for a series of show -stopping bespoke Christmas parties.

Helen Beresford-Boyse, Event Sales Manager at the National Railway Museum, says that they are delighted to welcome Catherine to the team, in what’s shaping up to be a busy and successful year for the museum’s events business.
