National Travel and Tourism Week commemorating its 40th year

This year, National Travel and Tourism Week (NTTW) is commemorating its 40th year .


This week-long occasion is taking place from May 7-13, and it aims to revel in the U.S. travel community and travel’s vital role in inspiring financial development, generating employments, motivating and increasing new dealings and refining the value of life for individuals across the US.


In Virginia, VisitNorfolk along with the Norfolk Tourism Foundation are commemorating NTTW by getting
acquainted with workers in city hospitality and mentioning over a dozen champions of hospitality winners.


According to Kurt Krause, the President and the CEO of VisitNorfolk the tourism sector and visitor economy are propelled by the hospitality workforces and it is really a great credit to provide these champions of hospitality with the acknowledgment that they are worthy of.


Krause said that their tourism business has done extraordinarily good in carrying on the outstanding
warmth that Norfolk is popular for, and they are very happy and hopeful for the ahead.


In another place in the Hampton Roads area, Newport News Tourism is organizing a lot of events this week, comprising a FAM Tour and a Tourism Awards Luncheon. They are also organizing a community-wide competition for those who are 18 years and older who will have a chance to win gift cards to different Newport News restaurants, tickets to places of interest in the area, or gift permits to indigenous businesses.

For entering, one needs to fill out a form, corresponding eight familiarities to their Newport News
locations by May 24. Winners will be declared on May 31.
