Negros Occidental will be a part of the three-day 10th North Philippines Tourism and Travel Expo (NorthPhil) that commences from Friday, November 17 at the SM City Clark located in Pampanga. Called as the largest tourism fair in Northern Luzon, the show will be staged as a kind of travel promotion and utilized as a consumer marketing platform. Participants can witness many tourism booths selling reasonably priced tour packages, hotel accommodation, airline tickets, and other travel-related services. Side by side, it also comprise the Buyers Meet Sellers Program, a business matching component creating a network between foreign and local buyers and do business with the participating sellers. Cristine Mansinares, provincial supervising tourism operations officer, explained that the Negros Occidental, with Department of Tourism (DOT)-Western Visayas support, is a regular participant to the annual fair.
Mansinares also said that the province’s presence this year will make the most of it in the preparation for the Philippine Airlines’ inaugural flight from Clark to Bacolod City on December 15. In the fair, the Sipalay City is joining the provincial team as well as the Buyers Meet Sellers Program, she added. The NorthPhil Expo is organized by the Association of Tourism Officers of Central Luzon Inc., Philippine Exhibits and Themeparks Corp. and the North Philippines DOT Regional Offices. (EPN)
