Nepal’s national flag carrier, Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), has connected capital Kathmandu with South Korea’s Seoul via direct flights. NAC also plans to extend its service to Tokyo after the direct flights to Seoul.
“NAC is making preparation to start the flight soon as we have already received take off and landing permission in South Korea’s airports”, NAC’S spokesperson Ram Hari Sharma said.
NAC will operate two flights a week Sunday and Wednesday to Seoul. It will use its wide-body Airbus A330-200 series, with a capacity of 250 to 280 seats. For the service, it has received permission to use South Korea’s Incheon International Airport.
“NAC will prove a good connecting flight for those travelling to the western parts of the US from Seoul and Tokyo.” Those returning to Nepal from those parts will also find it easy,” he said.
Currently, the Korean Air has been providing one flight a week between Kathmandu and Seoul.
