Nepal to hold talks with Malaysia on tourism promotion

Malaysia on tourism promotionNepal seeks to forge strong tourism links with Malaysia, Nepal Tourism joint secretary Buddhi Sagar Lamichhane said.


He said that Nepalese tourism minister Jeeban Bahadur Shahi is expected to hold talks with his Malaysian counterpart and high ranking Malaysian officials on issues of mutual interests and tourism promotion.


Nepal’s Ambassador to Malaysia Niranjan Man Singh Basnyat along with the visiting delegation will apprise the Malaysian entrepreneurs and government officials of the scope of investment opportunities in Nepal and tourism promotion in Kuala Lumpur.


Meanwhile, the Tourism Minister launched the Himalayan Airlines direct flights between Kathmandu and Kuala Lumpur amidst a special ceremony at the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) Friday.


Himalaya Airlines has set the airfare for a round-trip flight between Kathmandu and Kuala Lumpur at US$250 with tax excluded. The airline also plans to connect Kathmandu with Yangon, Myanmar, from Feb 24.
