The four-day event is being organized for positioning Nepal as the ‘Gateway to the Himalayas’. It will witness the participation of over 700 delegates from 41 countries.
Besides, there will be over 140 international & national guests and delegates, as said by the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) – Nepal Chapter.
Around 38 international travel bloggers, influencers and media delegates will also take part in the event.
Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) CEO Deepak Raj Joshi said that the Himalayan Travel Mart is a good example of public-private partnership in the last two years with its success and effectiveness.
The event will also act as the launch pad for Nepal’s biggest tourism campaign ‘Visit Nepal 2020’.
“The event will be helpful in networking and making strategies to welcome 2 million tourists during Visit Nepal 2020,” Joshi said.
The Himalayan Travel Mart 2019, a business-to-business mart, will host 54 seller organizations from six countries – Nepal, Bhutan, China, India, Pakistan & Thailand involvinge the participation of 58 buyer organizations from US, Australia, Asia, Europe, New Zealand, Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Gulf region.
