A yellow weather warning is in place from 3am on Monday morning until late afternoon with weather forecasters predicting strong winds and heavy rain. Cautionary speed restrictions will be in place on lines across South and West Wales.
Network Rail’s frontline teams are on alert, ready to tackle any problems the storm may cause to the railway.A spokesperson for Network Rail said: “We are drafting in additional teams in preparation for Storm Imogen’s arrival and our advice to passengers is to check before you travel.
The heavy rainfall across South Wales on Saturday saw flooding at a number of locations with temporary line closures and speed restrictions affecting journeys. Network Rail workers have been out in force clearing drainage systems of debris, but with rain falling on already saturated ground, there is the potential for localised flooding.
