In his new capacity, El Allam is responsible for all matters pertaining to sales and marketing division, including reservations and revenue management, catering and conference services, corporate, group, government and leisure sales as well as marketing strategies locally, regionally and internationally, reported the Gulf Daily News, our sister publication.
El Allam joins the Ritz-Carlton from Kerzner International where he was executive sales director at Mazagan Beach and Golf Resort in Eljadida, Morocco.
He is vitally instrumental in the re-positioning of the hotel, becoming one of the top family resorts in the Mena region.
Prior to this assignment, El Allam was executive director of sales for GCC and Mena and diplomatic affairs at Atlantis The Palm Dubai, UAE.
He was a key player since the opening in 2008, successfully positioning the hotel within the region including Turkey and growing a global account portfolio in a highly competitive market.
A Moroccan, he has a strong track record of implementing sales and marketing standards and account growth.
El Allam holds a certificate in strategic management from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration in Ithaca, US, and is a graduate of the Higher Institute of International Tourism, Tangier, Morocco.
