New Bus Services Can Facilitate Barangaroo And Walsh Bay Thrive

TTFNew bus services to Sydney’s rapidly-growing Western harbour front will help the precinct meet its potential as an economic driver and world-class destination, TTF CEO Margy Osmond said today.
This follows an announcement today by NSW Minister for Transport Andrew Constance today that the new CBD bus network will include services – for the first time ever – to Barangaroo and Walsh Bay.
“Public transport is the key to making destinations like Barangaroo and Walsh Bay tick,” Ms
Osmond said.

“The Western harbourfront of the CBD has the capacity to underpin Sydney’s future economic growth and bolster its appeal as a world-class destination to live, work and visit, but it needs to be accessible.

“Together with the new Metro Station and Ferry Hub at Barangaroo, these new bus services
will help connect this vital Western harbour front precinct to the rest of Sydney.
“Barangaroo is the largest construction site in the country and has the potential to be an
economic powerhouse, while Walsh Bay is fast emerging as one of the nation’s most important cultural precincts, home to acclaimed groups like the Sydney Theatre Company.
“TTF has long argued for the NSW Government to build public transport links to this precinct, and it’s great to see they are getting on with the job,” she said.

The Tourism & Transport Forum Australia (TTF) is a national, member-funded CEO forum,
