calOn November 1, New Caledonia located around 600 miles east of Australia had sustained around 12 strong tremors and the Pacific Ring of Fires has been peppered with earthquakes over the past 24 hour.

The region surrounding Australia had been active.

According to the seismic monitor IRIS the tremors that measured between 4.5 and 6 on the Richter scale was almost as strong as Australia’s strongest ever earthquake. In 1997 a 6.3 magnitude had struck the Collier Bay.

It was reported that on the same day two earthquakes struck Indonesia that measured between 4.7 and 4.9. More than 250,000 Brits holiday here every year.

Closer to the shores of Guam, Japan and Alaska three tremors were felt.

The increase in tremor is an indication of the rising temperature of the Earth’s core as per the scientists at the University of Colorado. It might often be linked to earthquakes of 7.0 magnitude and higher.

Chances were high that strong earthquake might hit the Australia’s eastern coast.

Seismic monitor IRIS, captured the earthquake tremors which could potentially lead to a strong earthquake close to Australia’s eastern coast .

An expert said that the world has entered a period of enhanced seismic productivity that might last for around five years.

The Tsunami Warning Centre has warned of a localized tsunami. It was noted that around 37,500 Britons flocked to Australia this year in August.

A string of earthquake had hit the Pacific Rim with magnitude more than 4 on November 1.

Weeks before the south Australians locals had claimed of mysterious tremors that woke them up in the middle of the night.

It was initially ranked by the Geoscience Australia that the quake was of magnitude 1.3 on the Richter scale but he post was further removed as it needed further investigations.
