Chef Pickell brings to his role more than 27 years experience from City Cafe in Washington DC, to University Club San Diego and most recently the past 17 years at Thornton Winery in Temecula, CA. His love for the culinary arts is widely acknowledged. He has been awarded Chef of the Year from both the Southern California and California Restaurant Writers Associations.
The Table restaurant is excited to feature his knowledge and expertise on our menu highlighting seasonal, from scratch items. Look for featured Chef and Wine Pairing Dinners, as well as “Take Away” dinners as Chef Pickell unveils his talents in the coming months.
Born in Southern Oregon and raised in California, Chef Pickell has been nurturing a deep connection to the Pacific NW and has quickly embraced Bellingham as a home that offers quality of living and commitment to community values. Steve is the proud father of two sons attending college in the region. One at Western Washington University in Bellingham. The other at Reed in Portland.
Chef Pickell is looking forward to bringing his signature dishes to the Bellingham community.
