A new clubhouse designed exclusively for residents has opened for the Copala community, a full-ownership home and condominium community fanned out in mountain foothills and desert bluffs in the heart of Quivira Los Cabos.
Conceived as a focal point for the development, the multi-level, 60,000-square-foot clubhouse, featuring panoramic ocean views, is already proving to be an ideal gathering place for owners as well as their families and friends.
Casual but comfortable, the Mexican hacienda-style edifice offers an infinity-edge pool with hammock overhangs, a children’s pool with splash fountains, gym and spa facilities, a movie theater, a deli / market, a fire pit with flexible seating, a casual indoor / outdoor restaurant with sports bar, and indoor / outdoor play areas for children. A clubhouse concierge is on hand to take care of all member requests.
“We’re striving for a ‘best of the best’ type experience in a spectacular environment,” said Jose Luis Mogollon, chief development officer for Quivira Los Cabos. “From the start, our goal has been to create a residential development where the core attributes are family, beauty, quality and memorability. We wanted to build a magnificent but welcoming clubhouse with lots of amenities where residents can enjoy their time with family and friends and create lasting memories with loved ones. We believe the clubhouse fits in perfectly with the residences we’ve created at Copala.”
Mogollon noted that it’s rare to have a large-scale residential project like Copala that’s situated only 10 minutes from the marina in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Moreover, the recent completion of a new interior highway linking San Jose del Cabo to Cabo San Lucas has reduced the drive time from the airport to the property to 35 minutes.
The new clubhouse is closely linked to ‘The Good Life’ at Quivira Los Cabos, which defines a lifestyle that goes beyond the ownership of a well-appointed residence. “‘The Good Life’ is a lifestyle club that offers members unique ways to enjoy a well-rounded lifestyle and also develop friendships with those who share their interests,” Mogollon said. “The clubhouse is the perfect place to foster and develop those relationships.
In the near future, nature conservation areas, walking and hiking trails, and gardens and parks will be opened in the vicinity of the clubhouse. Another feature of Copala ownership is beach club membership, with a soon-to-be-built beach clubhouse in the works.
In addition to the airy clubhouse, adjacent restaurants and award-winning spas, Copala residents also have exclusive access to Quivira Golf Club, a spectacular $40 million Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course opened to international acclaim in December 2014. The 7,139-yard, par 72 layout, featuring more oceanfront holes than any other facility in Los Cabos, is a dazzling venue marked by windswept dunes, sheer cliffs and desert foothills. At full completion, Copala will comprise a total of seven six-floor towers containing 36 condominium units per building. Custom homes at Copala, ranging in size from 1,800 to 2,400 square feet, are available in multiple layouts and six different floor plans to suit individual lifestyle preferences.
