New facility in Australia’s Sovereign Hill to attract more tourists

Sovereign Hill to attract more touristsThe completion of a new 32 bed accommodation facility in Sovereign Hill in Australia will increase annual visitor numbers by 25 per cent and boost student overnight stays by 10 per cent to the open-air museum and historical park. The new facility has been developed as a part of the By Day and By Night project.

 

The new facility was officially opened on February 13th in the presence of Minister for Regional Development Jaala Pulford and Member for Buninyong Geoff Howard.

 

The Victoria government’s investment in By Day and by Night project will help the treasured icon attract more visitors and make the historical site even more attractive to locals and tourists alike.

 

The project is expected to increase visitor numbers from 730,000 to 750,000 in the first year, which will have flow on benefits for local hospitality, retail and service businesses.
