New hotels to open in Brisbane 2017-2018

Holiday Inn Express Brisbane Central | now open

The brand new 226-room Holiday Inn Express opened in 2017 and is perfectly situated minutes from the city centre. Designed with business travellers and value-conscious visitors in mind, the hotel offers free and fast Wi-Fi, a business centre, gym and grab and go food facilities.



FV by Peppers | now open

Redefining a business or leisure stay with modern apartment-style accommodation and opulent facilities, FV by Peppers offers a new level of understated luxury in Brisbane with a choice of beautifully appointed, spacious one and two bedroom apartments with expansive views.



Pullman and Ibis Brisbane Airport | now open

After much anticipation Brisbane Airport’s award-winning precinct welcomes a new 5 and 3.5 star property in Pullman and Ibis Brisbane Airport. Perfect for visitors in transit, the new property also offers state-of-the-art conference facilities.



W Hotel, Brisbane City | March 2018

Forming part of the new “Brisbane Quarter” precinct at 300 George Street in the city centre, the W Brisbane promises to deliver a new level of style and sophistication offering two levels of world-class dining and luxury retail shopping.



Emporium Hotel, South Bank | May 2018

The Emporium Hotel in Fortitude Valley continues to rake in the awards – so we expect big things from its sibling south of the river. Part of the $590 million mixed-use Southpoint development, this ultra-luxurious 5 star hotel will feature a rooftop infinity pool and sky deck that overlooks the city. Heaven.



Adina Apartment Hotel Brisbane, George St | May 2018

TFE Hotels will open the beautiful new Adina Apartment Hotel Brisbane in a restored heritage building at 171 George Street in February 2018. It will have 220 apartments, and a signature restaurant and bar in the vast ground floor lobby space, which celebrate its Art Deco origins.



Novotel South Bank | 2018

Novotel’s newest property on Cordelia Street will sit across the road from the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, making it a top choice for business travellers and conference delegates when it opens in 2018. The 238-room hotel will feature all the mod cons, including barista-made coffee at breakfast.



Westin Brisbane | 2018

Soon to be opening at 111 Mary Street the new 5-star mixed-use Westin Brisbane will have 286 rooms featuring a podium level pool with swim-up bar, 24-hour business centre, gym and restaurant precinct.



The Calile, James St | 2018

Located in the heart of the leafy boutique shopping strip of James Street, The Calile will have 178 luxury hotel rooms including a podium level “urban oasis” featuring a pool, cabanas, day spa, dining and fitness centre.



Art Series Howard Smith Wharves | 2018

A game-changing lifestyle, dining and tourism destination, Howard Smith Wharves will be home to Brisbane’s second Art Series hotel when it opens in late 2018. The 164-suite hotel will illustrate cutting-edge design hugging the contours of the Fortitude Valley cliffs and blending in to the natural surrounds.



Queen’s Wharf Development | 2022

Yes, it will be a while before the massive Queen’s Wharf Development gets underway but it will reshape the City of Brisbane. It will feature five brand-new hotels, three residential towers, a new pedestrian bridge over the river, a 1500+ seat theatre, an iconic attraction called the ARC Deck that will straddle four of the buildings, and much, much more – watch this space.
