Motor enthusiasts can hold their breath as The New Petersen Automotive Museum re-opens to the public on Monday, December 7th, 2015 bringing a display of some of the most valuable objects from $40 million Bugatti and James Bond Aston Martin. The building is being treated purely as a visual phenomenon
The museum celebrates its 21st year anniversary with a complete redesign. The place has added a spacious 95,000 Sq. ft. that exhibits all that you have only dreamt of. The exhibit space is a design that expresses the ripples of excitement for motor lovers. The wave like structure crated by New York designer firm Hohn Pedersen Fox, is an expression that elocutes car movements. The facade is meant to “evoke the imagery of speed and the organic curves of a coach-built automobile,” feel the architects.
It will be a busy day for motor crazy folks as you browse around the three floors with 28 galleries sharing explicit information on the history, industry and art of automobiles.
The priced collections of the museum are Steve McQueen’s 1956 Jaguar XKSS and the famed Ferrari 308GTS from Magnum,P.I.
Though there is some criticism, the building and its treasures are sure to inspire people so keep a day reserved for a visit to Petersen Automotive Museum.
