Go Here Do That Houston is designed to give both visitors and residents clear, concise and helpful information on how best to spend their time in the metropolis with suggestions handily tailored to personal interests.

Co-founders Olivia Djibo and Katie O’Malley struggled for years to convince skeptical family members of Houston’s merits as a tourist destination. Through a collection of insider tips and stunning hand painted illustrations, the self-confessed Houston fanatics hope to reinvent Houston’s reputation as an equal to the likes of San Diego and Chicago. The guide is a love letter to the city’s hidden gems, delicious eateries, stunning sites and quirky boutiques, packed full of personally curated not-to-be-missed locations and hot tables, stores, bars and attractions.

Olivia Djibo, co-author of Go Here Do That Houston said, “Both myself and Katie are passionate about Houston, and we are really enthusiastic about spreading both our insider knowledge and love of our hometown. The guidebook is friendly and easy to navigate, and the tips and facts come from real Houston residents who know their stuff. Go Here Do That Houston is guaranteed to show our visitors and others a good time and why Houston has grown on us!”

Katie O’Malley added, “Go Here Houston is a personal project for me because I always ask where the locals go when traveling. The small hidden gems are the true heart of a city. I am happy to share my Houston loves and secrets.”

The guide will take the format of a passport, with specific sections for sports fans, shopping enthusiasts and foodies to name but a few, each with a unique, custom-designed map. Featuring 20 pages in total, the pocket-sized book will list each recommendation with interesting facts about the local areaso those new to town or heading in for a city break can step out with insider knowledge at their fingertips.

Go Here Do That Houston will be available from January 7th 2017, and a webpage created to complement and expand on the information on the guide will follow the paper edition. The personal guide and friendly local you can take anywhere, Go Here Do That Houston will help tourists and visitors alike to get the very best out of their stay in Houston.
