High prices and lack of beds has compelled some tourists to think twice about residing in the resort town.
The pod hotel of Jucy’s Snooze is a fresh budget one specially meant for millennial tourists with 250 beds that is within close proximity of bars and shops. Jim Boult who is the Mayor of Queenstown mentioned that the venture is ‘fantastic’.
This concept is quite popular overseas.
It is a shared accommodation billed as ‘business class for backpackers’ and every pod comes with a lockable privacy shields and safe. Tim Alpe, the Chief Executive of Jucy said that it perfectly fits a range of travellers.
Mr. Boult mentioned that it is very sensible since several people spend less on accommodation, but then they continue to spend on activities and food and wines.
The price of accommodation is out of reach for some when the town is close to capacity.
But then, the latest increase is beds is great news for globetrotters. Jucy Snooze is actually the second new hotel in downtown Queenstown in the last decade and more are about to come up with a brand new 54-bed hotel that would open next month.
