New Report to Reveal Rise of Commercial Operators Using Airbnb to Run “Illegal Hotels”

AH&LA logoPennsylvania House of Representatvies Tourism and Recreational Development Committee hearing in York, PA, the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) will host a press conference call to discuss the growing trend of commercial operators using Airbnb to run unregulated, and often illegal, hotels across Pennsylvania. Participants will also reveal the findings of the second phase of a study conducted by researchers at Penn State University that specifically analyzes Airbnb activity in Philadelphia. The report findings will be discussed with lawmakers and members of the local lodging community, which will shed light on the impact commercial activity fostered by Airbnb has on communities across the state.
