Davis said that the 2019 China-New Zealand Year of Tourism showcases their flourishing people-to-people connections, offers opportunities to foster new relationships and strengthen current ones.
To enjoy the country’s beautiful natural environment and unique cultural offerings more Chinese visitors are holidaying in New Zealand.
After the success of the Year of Tourism held in March the visit is based and will see Davis meeting his Chinese counterpart Luo Shugang and other political leaders and senior tourism officials in China’s Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, to discuss future tourism cooperation opportunities.
Davis said that he was looking forward to meet innovative Chinese and New Zealand companies at the forefront of linkages between the two countries.
Davis wants to further know about China and its people during the visit so that New Zealand can offer visitors with great experience and broaden understanding of China’s deep and fascinating culture.
During an official visit from Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in March 2017 the 2019 China-New Zealand Year of Tourism initiative was announced.
The second biggest visitor market for New Zealand is China and major economic driver of growth and cultural understanding.
