A total of 17,680 Filipinos visited the country for leisure as of end-August this year, representing a 25 percent increase year on year. In 2014, a total of 17,000 tourists visited the Philippines from New Zealand.
Tourism New Zealand stated that it is seeking to strengthen tourism ties between the two countries with initiatives such as the trade training for tourism operators by the end of the week.
