Neward bound flight makes emergency landing at Kazakhstan for technical snag

air-indiaAn Air India flight from India to Newark had to make an emergency landing at Kazakhstan’s Aktobe airport after white smoke got detected from the left wing of the flight.



All the passengers had to be stranded at the Aktobe airport from Thursday, 25th August.



The flight was scheduled to start around 2:30 am local time. The jet initially took off from the airport in Mumbai and five hours after the take off, the passengers alerted the crew about the smoke. The pilot of the flight immediately declared emergency and decided to land at Kazakhstan.



Some of the passengers of the jet informed that during the announcement, most of the passengers were asleep. But the flight managed to make a safe landing just 15 minutes after the announcement came.



Several passengers informed that they were waiting for a long time for the replacement aircraft to arrive from Delhi.



Around 300 passengers and crew members were on the Air India flight. Although the air passengers were served with soup and bread from the airport kitchen, but the passengers were drained out of energy because of the long delay.
